When I originally got the boxes to review, I really liked them and intended to subscribe. I also attended the GF Expo in Springfield MA and saw and talked to them there. They also have a terrific app called Find Me Gluten Free which searches restaurants in your current location and whether users have reported they have a gluten free menu or will cater to gluten free people. You can read about that here: http://www.sendmeglutenfree.com/aboutus.asp. It has been a real bonus for me, not only when we are traveling, but also right in my home/work area. It helps you find out about places that will meet your needs that you hadn't even considered.
I had been holding out hoping for a Black Friday discount code but they told me there that most likely their best code would be the 20% off code that they were currently offering. I then started searching and found a Living Social deal for a 3 month subscription (a $78 value) for $39. To get 3 months worth for $39 was a terrific deal so I took that right away. December is my first box of the 3 month subscription.
Smarty Pants Gummy Vitamins - I always enjoy these vitamins. I get a few of them in different boxes and they are always welcome because they taste like candy.
Mum-Mum Apple Cinnamon Snax - These were light and crispy crackers that tasted like Apple Jacks!
Schar Penne pasta - I've been using gf pasta for quite some time now and have found it to be very similar to regular pasta and you barely notice a difference. This is corn pasta. They also have rice and quinoa pasta which is very good.
Massel 7's Beef Boullion Cubes - These are a welcome item because you'd be surprised at the amount of items that have wheat in them and surprisingly Beef Stock is one of them in some brands! So the Massel Liquid Stock is also welcome. You just have to be careful when you purchase these items to check to make sure there is no wheat in them.
Simply 7 Quinoa Chips - Sea Salt flavor - these are always good. They have the texture of Munchos.
WowButter - I haven't tried this yet. It's toasted soy butter and I'm not sold on the need of it for me. I rarely eat peanut butter so when I do I think I prefer it to be the real thing. This may be helpful to some who eat a lot of it.
The Toasted Oat Granola - This is chewy granola made with blueberry and flax. I seem to get a lot of granolas in boxes and it's also something I rarely eat.
Sauce Goddess Spice Rub - This sweet heat spice rub sample is made with brown sugar, salt, spices, garlic, onion, cayenne pepper and paprika. You might be surprised to know that many spice packets contain wheat so it's another area where you have to be careful. This spice combination sounds delicious and will get rubbed onto some delicious meat.
Send Me Gluten Free is $30 a month if you choose to pay each month, $26 a month for a 3 month subscription, $24 a month for a 6 month subscription and just $20 a month with a full year subscription. Shipping is FREE!
Currently they are running a promotion for 10% off using the code HOLIDAY10 that gives you 10% off any subscription. If you are gluten free or have someone in your house that is, you may enjoy receiving these boxes.
