Crafty Crate is something I would have absolutely adored growing up. That's not to say that I don't now - because I love DIY projects and arts & crafts. I always have. But this would especially be fun over summer vacation or something. Now, it's the perfect weekend project to unwind from the work week. I wasn't sure what kind of craft it was going to be, but I was not disappointed. This is a monthly subscription that provides all the supplies you'll need to complete that month's project. I was lucky enough to receive this box for review. This month's project is.....
The first step was to make sure the glass is clean to begin outlining the design in the picture with the black simulated liquid leading. This is a little difficult to get totally straight and even because it's hard to squeeze the bottle and hold your hand steady at the same time. I think it came out pretty good though - and does look a lot like real stained glass, with the joints in the glass usually not being totally even. This should set for at least 8 hours. I did this around 3pm on a Saturday and let it dry overnight, starting the color the next morning. This was more than enough time, I just didn't want to start coloring at 11pm. It does start to dry fairly quickly, so make sure to fix any errors immediately to avoid smudging the whole line.
Here's my final product! I love it!! I haven't picked out the perfect place for it yet but it's gonna look great! I'm really happy with the way it came out and I highly recommend these products and this subscription box! This box is perfect for times when you just need to relax, do something creative, de-stress, or just do something really fun!
