This month I received a Cloud9 Sample Box. Cloud9 boxes are filled with samples of hand-selected chocolates, beauty products and unique treats. The Cloud9 boxes are all about making you feel good - like you're on Cloud 9! This box definitely made me feel good as soon as I opened it. This month is a movie-themed box and is designed for you to enjoy at home while watching the awards shows or even a movie! I could see that bag of Double Chocolate Drizzled Caramel popcorn as soon as I opened the box and it was then that I knew that this was going to be a good day! I like how the box was filled with the crinkled paper, making it look like it was a present. You all know how I LOVE getting presents! Cloud9 wants to send you products that "take you away from the everyday". I think they did a nice job with this box. Here are the items I received: King Of POP Double Chocolate Drizzled Caramel Popcorn: King of Pop Popcorn are all about producing awesome, delicious, gourmet popcorn. Made fresh in NEW HAMPSHIRE! Did you know this company was in NH? I have never heard of them. They are in Kingston, NH. You learn something new everyday. Here is a prime example of why I love subscription boxes, because I get these kinds of products that I didn't know about but quite possibly would love if I knew! I don't even have to guess about this product. What could possibly keep me from loving my all time favorite snack - popcorn, that is drizzled with chocolate, no wait.....DOUBLE CHOCOLATE - my other all time favorite snack?! This is a nice big 3.22 oz bag of awesome goodness! The bag promises that eating this will be an Epic Popcorn Experience. I believe it will be. www.kingofpop.com Bag of Assorted Candy: In this bag there are a few different kinds of candy from Nuts.com Pomegranate salt water taffy Chocolate Caramel Creams Butterscotch Candy Yummy Earth Organic Lollipop I will be happy to eat each and every one of these candies, except the butterscotch. Butterscotch is just not my favorite flavor. When I was a little girl, a one-armed man gave me some butterscotch candy while I was in a laundromat waiting for my mother. It was weird, and I always, always associate those butterscotch candies with that man! If only he had given me chocolate! Haha! But I digress...I'm sure that I can find someone who will enjoy them. www.nuts.com Acure Organics Oil Control Facial Moisturizer: An oil control facial moisturizer with lilac stem cells and 1% chlorella growth factor. This easily absorbed facial moisturizer improves texture and tone, minimizes fine lines, and helps prevent breakouts. Lilac stem cells are shown to balance oil and heal blemishes, while Chlorella Growth Factor helps rejuvenate damaged skin cells. Again, a product I have never heard of but one that looks like it does more than just moisturize! I'm anxious to try this out. www.acureorganics.com Great American Spice Company Spinach Dip: This spinach dip is a quick and easy version of traditional spinach dip, and only requires the addition of sour cream and mayonnaise. We love spinach dip in my house so this is another win for us. We just love it with some nice tortilla chips or if we're feeling on the healthier side, with some raw vegetables. This is a .6 oz package and will make about 12 oz of dip. www.americanspice.com The final item I received is a 20% off coupon code for the Kingofpop.com, or Cheesecake.com, GourmetGiftBaskets.com or Strawberries.com. This is great because I went over to the kingofpop.com web site and saw all the different popcorn flavors there! They have some delicious sounding ones and I believe I will have to check that out! The card that came with all of these items, that has descriptions of each one, says that I should have also received a Redbox Movie Code to get 1 movie rental free. I didn't see that anywhere in the box, whether it was something with a code on it or a coupon, I don't know. It's no big deal though - look at all the items I did receive! UPDATE: Once the company found out that I didn't have a Redbox movie code in my box, they emailed it to me right away! Cloud9 sent me this box for free to review. I'm glad I got the chance to see what kind of items they send. Cloud9 has different pricing options, depending on whether you just want to subsribe month to month or pay for a multi-month subscription up front. Paying ahead gives you a bit of a discount. Monthly is $15 + $5.95 shipping. They do ship USPS Priority Mail, so you get your box quickly. They usually ship on or around the 15th of the month. If you would like to learn more about Cloud9, please visit them at www.cloud9samplebox.com ~~ Sharon ~~ Loot Crate came today!! This is one I continue to look forward to. I still haven't decided whether I will continue receiving this one or not. I've liked the two I've gotten, but some of the items are completely hit or miss with me. I guess we'll see! Loot Crate caters to your inner nerd, stuffed full of pop culture knick-knacks and unique products (with the occasional t-shirt). This month's theme was "Launch" in honor of one of their Crates going into near space! I'm a huge space nerd so I was excited for this month.
Loot Crate never ceases to amaze me. I always open the box with slight disappointment at what I see (I know, that's not very nice of me.. so quick to judge), but as I look closer at each individual item, I see exactly why LC decided to feature it. I'm pretty impressed by their choices and this month's items. Who knows.. maybe I'll stick with this one a few more months. They do a very good job!
If you'd like to give Loot Crate a try, head over to www.lootcrate.com for just $13.37 + $6.00 shipping (I find the price pretty funny and appropriate as well). For under $20.00 you can get at LEAST $45.00 of value in every box! I paid $19.37 for this box and received almost exactly $45.00 worth! Use the code "ADDICTION" to save 10% on your subscription! >>--> Kelli <--<< Escape Monthly is a subscription box that features vacation and travel destinations each month. The destination could be a far away place or right here in one of the United States. This month's destination is Colorado. I was anxious to get this box since Kelli is now living in Colorado, and we just spent a week traveling all over the state back in April of last year. It is an absolutely gorgeous state with so much beautiful scenery and fun things to do, and beer! I was able to get this box at a discounted rate so I would like to tell you about the items I received. Jackson's Honest Potato Chips Born from the desire to feed their children only healthy and unprocessed snacks, Jackson's chips use coconut oil to fry their chips - the healthiest frying oil out there. Anyone who truly knows me - knows that coconut oil is my go to, my saviour, my companion, my muse, etc! I love that these are fried in coconut oil because that means they are healthy chips! Did you hear what I said? HEALTHY CHIPS! I've already sampled these and they are DELICIOUS. White Girl Salsa Cooked up by the one white girl in a Hispanic family, this distinctive salsa is sure to quickly be devoured once cracked open. Fresh, sassy and with a kick of spice. White Girl Salsa's tomatillo-based recipe is the perfect way to taste the spicier side of Colorado. This is a full sized jar and there is lots to enjoy in there! I've never had a salsa quite like this so I am looking forward to trying it. It's weird that it's green but I'm sure it's going to taste delicious. 16 oz jar Colorado Aromatics Mountain Mist Lotion Formulated by a biochemist, these local herbal ingredients create invigorating, hydrating and healthy skin care solutions. Ingredients like green tea extract and rosemary help soften, smooth and protect your skin with each use. This smells really nice and feels so nice and smooth. This is a 2 oz bottle. Bobo's Gluten Free Peach Oat Bar Perfect for the lover of peaches, these oat bars have delicious pieces of peach in every bite. This item is baked right in Boulder, where Kelli lives! It has the texture of a dense cake and you really do get peaches in every bite. For a gluten-free snack this is really outstanding! I don't know who Bobo is but Kelli should tell him that he does a great job. Gluten- Free, Vegan and Non-GMO This is a hefty 3 oz bar Chocolove Orange Peel Chocolate Bar Cloak orange peel in dark chocolate and what do you get? Boulder, Colorado -based Chocolove's semi-sweet citrus sensation! Another item straight from Boulder! I have not tried this one yet, but there is no doubt that I will love it. My two favorite flavors mixed together. Ahhhh...heaven. Bluecorn Naturals Beeswax Candle Scented with honey & colored by pollen, this long-burning, completely beeswax candle smells wonderful. This scent is lemongrass, cinnamon and rosemary. You can really smell the lemongrass, which is a scent I just love. I'll be burning this one tonight. Paraffin-free and lead-free. Not the Same Rocky Mountain Mud Bath Made from ingredients found right in the Rockies, this is the perfect companion to detox your body and reinvigorate your soul. You'll relax muscles, improve circulation, and even smooth your skin. One thing I wanted to do but didn't when I was in CO was to go to one of those natural mud baths. For some reason my husband didn't think that would be very fun. I don't know why not?! Now I can do this in my own tub! I wonder how the clean up will be. This is a 4 oz package and can be used for either 1 or 1 soakings. It promises not to stain your tub! Geode from Pikes Peak Expertly selected for its quality and beauty, you just have to break it open to behold the beauty within! This is one of my favorite items - just because it was unexpected. At first I thought it was just a rock from Colorado and I thought that was pretty funny. But then I read it was a geode and realized how cool that was. I've been trying to get it open but so far no luck. I think I need a bigger hammer! Moon Colorado Handbook Learn about the state and it's history, as well as the most exciting activities and destinations. I would have loved to have had this back in April when we were there! It would have come in very handy. I think having it now just means that we will have to go back for another visit! As you can see the Escape Monthly box is packed full of awesome items. I really enjoyed receiving this box and I would just love to be able to get one every month. Next month's destination is New York and last month's destination was Italy. You never know where they are going to go next. Escape Monthly is truly a vacation in a box. It costs $49.95 a month but if you use the coupon code YOURESCAPE it will give you 20% off for the life of your subscription. That brings it down to $39.95 a month. Use the link on the right side of the screen to access Escape Monthly to read more about them. If you end up purchasing through that link it will give Kelli some credit toward any future boxes! ~~ Sharon ~~ Box of Happies is one of those boxes that I definitely look forward to. I don't have a monthly subscription or anything but I got the December box for reviewing purposes and I just had to get another this month. They're just so adorable and unique. Box of Happies consists of talented artists and small business based on Etsy - which I have a sliiightly small obsession with.
I love Box of Happies and this one is no disappointment. I just LOVE Etsy and all the unique products you can find there. Box of Happies gives you a chance to find really unique and beautiful products without the hours of scouring the website. I will definitely continue to get this box - I feel like the value goes beyond the monetary kind. Receiving products that are handmade from the artists themselves is always fun!
I paid $28.99 for this box and received $41.00 in value (plus the added bonus of receiving truly unique items!) If you'd like to give Box of Happies a try, head over to www.boxofhappies.com to give it a try. They have tons of different subscription options. After last month's disappointment, I was sort of nervous about getting this one. But wow, was I wrong. Everything is delicious and none of it will go to waste! I'm heading over to the website now to "love" all of these items to make sure I get more snacks just like these next month!

Each other box is only $6.00! Head over to www.graze.com now! >>--> Kelli <--<< Eco Emi is here! Eco Emi is here! I love getting this box. It's always such a nice treat because it literally feels like a present just for me. They do such a nice job with their packaging and their items. This month their products are all about relaxation with a bit of Valentine's Day mixed in. I will enjoy all of my new items this month and I'll say it again... I will continue to get Eco Emi every month because I deserve getting a present!
African Black Soap Acne & Razor Bump kit: With its earthy scent and all natural ingredients, this African black soap helps improve the texture of the skin. The soap also contains blemish removing components. It doubles as a make up remover and shampoo bar, rejuvenating your skin and hair by removing impurities. This is a very unusual combination and it will be interesting to try out.
Eco Emi is one of my favorite boxes. They provide an informative and fun way to try new eco-friendly, all natural, vegetarian, animal conscious, free-trade products. Who wouldn't want to get all these little presents? Eco Emi is just $15 a month and you can read more about them here: http://www.ecoemi.com/ ~~ Sharon ~~ YAY! I got my November Indie Gift Box today! So, I mentioned this before, but after a series of unfortunate events, my November box didn't get to me several times. BUT, they were fantastic (Lisa, in particular) with getting replacements out to me as soon as possible. It was then offered to me for half off because of the inconvenience. Lisa and Reagan even threw in some extra products/gifts to make up for it :) I'm very pleased and I will definitely be a returning customer!
I also got a $5.00 coupon for Do The Extraordinary - which makes handmade sportswear and accessories. I am SO happy with this box and I'm so glad I could get it! This is why Indie Gift Box is my favorite. They're so good and what they do. This was definitely worth the wait and I SO appreciate Lisa, Reagan and the rest of the IGB staff for putting in so much time and effort to get this to me (and with extra gifts!) A huge thank you goes out to them! I can't wait for the February box! I paid half price for this box which was $15.00 and I received $68.00 plus the $5.00 coupon of value!! That's just insane to me. So so happy with this! If you'd like to try out Indie Gift Box, they release a new box at the beginning of each month, with several shipping dates each month so whenever you order, it should ship within the week. They only offer a certain amount, usually around 100 each month, so get on it! It's worth it! Head over to www.indiegiftbox.com to check it out! >>--> Kelli <--<<
Yumvelope sends out artisanal food products each month that are 100% natural, with no artificial preservatives, colors or flavorings. It usually comes in a large padded envelope but what I received came in a box. I was lucky enough to have this box sent to me at a discounted rate. One thing I like about this subscription is that I received an email when the box shipped, which is common with most subscription box companies, but this one lets you know when the next month's cut off date is to order again. I thought that was a nice touch. This is another company that tries to get products to you that you might not otherwise discover on your own. They also guarantee satisfaction so if you ever have a problem with a product you just have to let them know and I'm sure they will fix whatever the problem is. I received 2 packages of pistachios. They are both from The Gilded Nut Snack Company. These jumbo California pistachios are naturally opened and coated in cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and then tumbled in herbs and spices. I'm super excited to get these because I love pistachios! Both are good sized packages at 2.25 oz each and great for heart healthy snacking. Garuka Bars are handmade with Vermont raw honey to provide you with the best tasting, best source of pre-exercise energy. These bars are packed full of simple, wholesome ingredients, and a percentage of each sale goes towards gorilla conservation. Gorilla conservation? I love that. Remember Colossus, the poor gorilla who used to sit in that cement cell at Benson's Animal Farm? I will never forget his sad, drugged out face. Unfortunately my most vivid memories of that place are of that poor gorilla. Garuka is actually the name of a Gorilla in Rwanda who is losing his habitat, along with others like him, due to poaching, and the stresses of encroaching human activity. I like this company and I thank Yumvelope for introducing them to me. I will definitely enjoy eating this bar. Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookies - I received 2 of these cookies. One dark chocolate & flax and the other is peanut butter berry flavored. The dark chocolate and flax one didn't last long. My husband and I tried that one right away. It may be deceiving that we are calling these just a cookie. This thing is huge! It's almost a meal. They are also high protein, high fiber and low sugar. You really could just eat this for breakfast, with some yogurt it would be just perfect. My final item is a tube of body wash. I imagine that it is not a normal thing that you get body wash in a subscription box that is about food. I have no problem with it! This Savannah Bee Honey Body Wash is tupelo honey scented. Designed to exfoliate and clean skin, this honey-infused wash provides a soft glow without over-drying and is perfect for men or women. It is a nice sized product in a 1.7 oz container. Yumvelope is $21 a month or if you want to sign up for 6 months you get a free bonus shipment also. There is also the option to purchase gift subscriptions for others. I liked this subscription box. I think the products are all high quality, healthy and unique. I like that the company cares about helping other eco and sustainability conscious companies by getting their products out to us. Please visit https://www.yumvelope.com/ to subscribe or read more about this company. ~~ Sharon ~~ This month I decided to try out a subscription box called Vermont Snacks. Vermont is a beautiful state and my entire family comes from Vermont, and I've spent alot of time there with them, so it holds a special place in my heart. Though they are known for their farming and maple syrup, surely they have other things that people would be interested in! That's why this company is great, because it brings new exposure to Vermont artisans and small businesses that you might otherwise not hear of unless you were to visit a farmer's market or spend alot of time traveling around the state. Each month you receive 4 - 6 fun and unique snacks in your box. Here is what I received this month:
MetaBalls - $2.95 www.vermontnutfree.com Yes - I when I look at this product, in my head that inner voice keeps saying: MEAT-A-BALL - that's a spicy meat-a-ball! Haha! I can't help it. Here's the description: Maximize workouts, work days, sporting events and school days with a 3-pack of MetaBalls from Vermont Nut Free Chocolate. Available in a variety of flavors, MetaBalls gives you energy to burn! Excuse me.....did that just say chocolate? Ok I'm in! I have never heard of this product before. What an interesting item. The flavor on mine is Bashin' Berry - Blueberry & Raspberry. I assume that is 3 different flavors for 3 different MetaBalls that are inside. Very interesting -- this is chocolate? Another great reason for this box. This is something that I may never have come across and yet here it was delivered to my door for me to try! Jan's Farmhouse Crisps - $3.50 approx. www.jansfarmhousecrisps.com Jan's Farmhouse Crisps are a healthy alternative cracker full of delicious ingredients like cranberries, flax seeds, pistachios, sesame and pumpkin seeds. These look scrumptious and are filled with all those nutrient-rich nuts and seeds! This is a nice 2 oz sized package, plenty to try and see if it's something you would like more of Vermont Snacks costs $19 a month and this month I received approximately $16 worth of items. I'm sure with a regular subscription that some months are higher than others. All in all I think it was a very good box and I will be able to try everything that came in it, well except for that maple moose lollipop. For every box Vermont Snacks ships, they donate a meal to the Vermont Foodbank. This earns them bonus points in my book! If I were not on a quest to obtain and review many boxes at the moment, I would probably keep this one going for awhile, mostly because of my affinity for the state of Vermont. I am thrilled with the items and I think it achieved exactly what they intended - to put products in my hands that I might never have seen or tried before. If you would like to try Vermont Snacks, head on over to http://www.vermontsnacks.com/ and sign up! ~~ Sharon ~~ |
