Finally, the long awaited CAUSEBOX 02 came! And I wasn't the last one to get it this time! I only saw a few pictures before mine arrived so not much was spoiled for me. This quickly became my favorite box when I got their premiere box in December. Each box has $150+ of retail value and it's filled with socially conscious products that give to charities and provide jobs all around the world. |
Smart Pants partners with Vitamin Angels to provide vitamins to a child in need for every bottle of vitamins sold. So far, they've helped over 500,000 children together. Each of these packets is a 1-day supply (4 gummies) and contains a full multivitamin, eco-friendly omega-3s, and vitamin D3. I've gotten these vitamins in subscription boxes before and they're really tasty. I wonder why they make them so that you have to eat 4 of them to equal one day's worth of vitamins though. Why not just make 1 or 2 that provides the full amount? With that said, they are really yummy so I'm not complaining too much. |
This was the big ticket item we all saw the spoiler about. I was really excited to get this Turkish towel! I love the bright springy blue and it's so lightweight and well made, I can't wait to use it. Plus, this towel is exclusive to Sevenly because they collaborated with Give Perf to create it! Each blanket is flat woven in Turkey, they're highly absorbent, fast-drying and roll up perfectly for packing to bring to the beach or park! This will be great to bring on my upcoming roadtrip! | At first I thought this was a sticker so I was kind of bummed, thinking it could only get one use and that's that. But even better, this is a glass cling that Sevenly created that peels on and off windows and mirrors easily. They actually recommend putting this on your bathroom mirror so that you'll see and be picked up by this positive message everyday. I'm definitely not the most positive person in the world so I think that's just where this is going to go - it can only help right? |
This doesn't have a retail value listed on the card so I think it's just a nice little bonus item. Good Spread peanut butter has a Buy 1, Give 1 policy where a child will receive a packet of therapeutic food for every Good Spread purchase. Most of us eat peanut butter already so why not help out malnourished children by switching over to a new brand. Sevenly says it has just the right amount of honey in it so it's the best tasting peanut butter they've ever tasted! I'm excited to try it out - maybe it'll even convert me. |
This style is the classic gold, gold, silver version. Honestly, I don't know why they chose bullets and I'm not crazy about this necklace. It's a bit heavy and I don't like the chain at all. It makes me think of quarter machine necklaces everyone wore in middle school. It's all just a bit too masculine for my taste but I think I'll just hang it up somewhere instead of wearing it. | Each "Fighting Hunger" necklace incorporates three hand-polished recycled bullet casings to take a strong stance against hunger. Half United uses fashion to provide aid to world hunger relief efforts by providing half their profits. |
These bracelets were created by Tribe Alive just for Sevenly. Each bracelet is handmade by women in Honduras under fair trade working conditions and each piece contributes to community development and job creation in developing countries. I really like the look of this bracelet - the small simple design, the springy colors, the glass beads, and even the little 14k gold Tribe Alive logo charm on it. I can't imagine spending $35.00 on a tiny bracelet though - but I'm glad I got it! |
This is another exclusive product just for Sevenly! I love the design of it and even the material is so soft and nice feeling. I really like this journal a lot. Again though, I don't know if I would have paid $18 for it but I'm glad I got it! And even better - a portion of every journal Denik sells goes to funding schools in developing countries through foundations like Pencils of Promise! I'm actually weirdly picky about the lines in notebooks and journals and this one definitely passes my test. For some reason I don't like blue lines - I prefer dark grey or black lines. I know, it's weird, but I like this journal! |
Overall, I really like this box and I think they did a great job. I actually think the Winter CAUSEBOX was better but I'm not letting this subscription box go for as long as I can! I love what they do and I love the products they choose. Each subscription box you purchase gives $7.00 to a charity of your choice! You can't go wrong with that. |
