A few weeks ago, Nerd Block announced that they started offering a FREE Welcome Block for all new subscribers to any of their Blocks! I had recently cancelled my Comic Block subscription and instantly regretted it, so I was going to resubscribe, and luckily it was just in time to get my own Welcome Block! I've seen a few other reviews and they appear to vary only slightly. Everyone seems to receive the same types of items, just different characters, etc. |
The box contains this card welcoming you to the Nerd Block family! On one side is descriptions of the types of Blocks they offer, and on the side shown, it says "Inside this special Welcome Block is a sampling of some of the sweet items from across our offering of blocks that we send out every month to our Nerd Block family of subscribers. Just wait until you see what's coming soon in your subscription!" |
This was one of the first things I saw when I opened the box and instantly fell in love! I still haven't opened them, and I know I won't use them as coasters - why would I ruin them?! The Shining is in my top 3 favorite movies of all time and I absolutely love these. I think I'll just arrange them on the wall. It appears these were in a Horror Block at some point. I believe these are exclusive items because the company it displays is the Torrance Printing Co. in Sidewinder, CO! I LOVE THIS. | This is another item I really like - and was an Arcade Block exclusive item so it's another item that wasn't repeated for me! This went right onto my keys with other keychains I've gotten from Nerd Blocks and Loot Crates. The way the clip is designed, this can be added to any zipper as well - backpacks, hoodies, etc. I love it! |
I think this was another Arcade Block exclusive item because I can't find the exact one anywhere online other than from subscribers. I really like this though! The letters are spelled out with things from: Pac-Man, Dreamcast, PS3, XBox, Wii, Sega and Minecraft. I actually trimmed mine down to save space and I put this on my laptop! It looks great! |
This was actually the only repeat item for me in this whole box, which I was actually sort of impressed by! Granted, I haven't gotten a lot of other Blocks, but I subscribed to Nerd Block for quite a while. I received these in January's A Galaxy Far, Far Away Block. They're surprisingly fun to wear and I actually saw quite a few of these at Denver Comic Con a few months ago. Since the move, I'm not sure what happened to my first pair so now I have a spare! |
This is another Nerd Block exclusive item - this version comes with a little coffee mug (adorable) and his clothes are colored differently. I absolutely love Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul so this is a very welcome addition to my collection! I'm especially pleased that the big ticket item in the box was not a duplicate for me! |
I was very happy with my Welcome Block - and best of all, it was all FREE! You can't go wrong with that! They guaranteed a $20.00 value and they delivered with even more than that. I love and will use all the items I received which is sort of rare when it comes to subscription boxes. This promotion is still going on, but I don't know how much longer! When you go to subscribe, your FREE Welcome Block will automatically be added to your cart at checkout. NOTE: This cannot be combined with any promo codes. If you want to use a promo code, the Welcome Block will be removed from your cart. |
