Sporkpack arrived on schedule and it was a pretty good one this month!
You will always get interesting things though and this month was no exception.
They define themselves as providing epicurial gadgets and treats and that's just what they do. It was in this box last month that I first experienced the ginger chews that I thought I would hate and ended up loving and ordered more flavors! I'm currently obsessed with the orange ginger chews. I also tried mango but the orange ones are the best.
Here is what I received in this month's box:
OGGI DOUBLE BUBBLE HAND BLOWN GLASS OIL AND VINEGAR CRUET - $14.17
Made from hand blown glass, this double bubble cruet is perfect for storing and serving oil & vinegar from the same bottle. The cruet has two chambers with an inner capacity of 5oz and outer capacity of 15oz.
This is really cute but I'm not sure if I will really use it. It seems like more hassle than it is worth. We'll see though. I still like it's look and it would look good with plant cuttings stuck in it!
OGGI WHITE SUGAR & CREAMER 3 PC SET - $14.79
Here is another item that I'm not sure if I will use only because I don't really entertain and it doesn't make sense for me to put cream and sugar in this type of thing. Still, they are cute and who knows - maybe I'll invite someone over for coffee someday.
NATURE'S ALL FOODS ORGANIC NON GMO FREEZE DRIED SWEET CORN - $9.27
There is nothing in this package other than corn. Freeze-dried corn and no chemicals no nothing.
This is a pretty crazy item. It tastes exactly like corn as if you had cut it right off the cob only it is crunchy. The flavor is pretty amazing. It's the texture that throws you off. You like the corn taste but in your mind, you know it should not be crunchy.
I'm not sure I can get on board with this as a snack. I loved trying something new though. I would have never tried it otherwise, especially if that 2.3oz package really costs $9.27!
HIMALANIA DARK CHOCOLATE GOJI BERRIES - $5.68
Since 2002, Himalania has been sourcing ingredients cultivated under organic and natural methods to ensure high-quality taste and texture. Himalania fuels fit and active lifestyles with only the most unique and nutrient-rich superfoods.
These are very good - especially the chocolate part. Goji berries are kind of weird, I think, so I don't particularly like too many of them. They certainly taste much better covered in dark chocolate.
You can learn about SporkPack at http://www.sporkpack.com/ It looks like they had to raise their prices but they are currently having a sale to allow you to sign up at a discounted rate. Rather than quote some incorrect numbers here I'll just advise you to go to their web site and see the current rates.
