Here is the 2nd box of my 3 month subscription for Send Me Gluten Free. I always enjoy when this box shows up because it arrives in a bright orange box - which is my favorite color - and that just makes me happy. This box was not my favorite one ever received by this company though. Not that the items aren't good, just that only a couple of items really excited me. That's ok, everyone has an off month. Here is what I received for January: |
Free For All Kitchen - Olive Oil & Sea Salt Crackers - To me, these are disappointing. I've had these in a number of other boxes and they literally taste like cardboard. Apparently other people like them though, so it could be just me. They are basically a cardboard Wheat Thin.
Ola! - No Nut Vanilla Granola - granola is really a big item for subscription boxes. I never buy it every, yet I have a bunch of it because they keep sending it in boxes. Once in awhile I will put some in my yogurt, but really I'm not that much of a fan.
Detour Whole Grain Oatmeal Bar - Blueberry - I ate this bar and it was pretty good. As with any of the bars and most protein bars, they always have weird texture depending on what they're made out of. This one was pleasant and if offered, I would eat it again.
Enjoy Life Sugar Crisp Crunchy Cookie - and what a crunchy cookie it was! This was the first thing I ate out of the box and it was delicious. Enjoy Life products are usually pretty reliable and good. It is possible to make good gluten free cookies and they do it right.
Wildtree Taco Blend Seasoning - this will come in handy. I made a lot of taco type/mexican type foods due to the fact that they are naturally free of gluten and they taste delicious. I've become very creative in changing them up a little to make each dish a little different.
Tummy Zen Natural Heartburn Relief - an interesting product and one to keep an eye on. Heartburn relief that is free of the dangers that prescription medicines can cause. It also supports digestive health and strengthens the stomach lining.
And there you have it - a pretty good box, just not the best I've ever gotten. It's always good to see new products that I didn't know about though and have the chance to try something new.
Send Me Gluten Free is $30 a month if you choose to pay each month, $26 a month for a 3 month subscription, $24 a month for a 6 month subscription and just $20 a month with a full year subscription. Shipping is FREE!
