Nerd Block ended up showing up the same day as Loot Crate, which is ALWAYS a good time! This month, Kevin Smith (of Clerks, Jay & Silent Bob, and Comic Book Men fame) picked the box's theme, the items to be included, as well as helped design the T-shirt. The theme he picked was Collide: Marvel vs. DC Comics, so I knew it had to be a good box! |
Subscribers received this figure in either grey or red. I think I would have preferred the red because that seems more iconic to me, but I really like that this is a limited edition figure. I've started quite the collection of these from subscription boxes and I have to say, my shelf in the livingroom is looking pretty awesome. This addition will be no exception! |
I can't find this item online anywhere so I'm not sure if it's an exclusive for this box or not - but this is going to make me feel really awesome at work! I'm constantly using post it notes and pulling them out of a patient notes book from Arkham Asylum is pretty badass, I must say. |
Notice the blood on some of them :( These are really well made too, they actually feel old and the print is amazing - they're actually printed from the original digital files from Marvel Studios! Score! | This is probably the most awesome item in the whole box. These are actually on Entertainment Earth for $39.99! That more than pays for this whole box itself! These cards are just so cool. There are two complete sets, one 'near mint' and one blood-stained (which is INCREDIBLY SAD, GUYS) to make 24 cards total. I had a hunch, and I think everyone else did as well that this would be included when we found out there would be an Avengers prop replica and I'm really happy we were right! |
I'm not sure how to value these because I can't find them online - in fact there's no writing or branding on the back of the card so this might also be an exclusive collection. Either way, they're pretty awesome! I love the style of them and they look really great all together. I'll have to find a good spot to show them all off. | This isn't listed on the card detailing the items, so this is a little bonus from the Fatman himself. These stickers of Jay & Silent Bob in various situations were all designed by different artists. If I still had any room on the outside of my laptop, I'd display some of these on it, but I'll have to find somewhere else to stick them. |
This is another Nerd Block exclusive T-shirt and it was handpicked by Kevin Smith himself, creator of Jay & Silent Bob! I think this design is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, I'm not having any luck with t-shirt sizing lately and this is way too big for me even though it's a small. So this will likely go to my roommate. I think I'll have to do some trial and error with sizing so I don't keep missing out on awesome shirts. I'm sure my roommate is loving it though! |
This was one of the best Nerd Block's I've ever gotten - and a HUGE thanks goes out to Kevin Smith for making our first taste of themes a most epic one. I think he did an amazing job and I really hope they get some more celebrity collaborations in the future! This box was worth a total of over $90.00!! Speaking of celebrity collaborations, November's Nerd Block will feature Bruce Campbell! One in every 7 boxes will include an authentic autograph - not some mass produced print - he's working on thousands of them right now! So make sure you sign up before November 15th to receive next month's box and a chance at an awesome autograph! |
