This month's theme is Fun at the County Fair. The items are interesting to say the least. They didn't really put me in mind of a county fair but whatever. A few of the items I had to pass on to my husband so he could enjoy them. I hope this doesn't become the norm. Now that Love with Food does an exclusive gluten-free box I am concerned that they will start putting less gluten-free items in the regular tasting box.
The insert card with the description of the items has been changed this month to be a tri-fold brochure. I think I like it a lot better and they also included some extra information and a recipe for Blue Ribbon Chocolate Peanut Cookies.
Love with Food states that they have now donated over 250,000 meals to hungry children across the US. Besides my own subscription, I have 2 gift subscriptions that I have given to my mother and my brother. It makes a great gift for someone who has everything already and doesn't really need anything. This gives them a monthly gift, a box of treats and the fun of receiving something. They really seem to enjoy getting them.
Ok, on to the products for this month:
CRISPY CHEDDAR CRACKERS by Back to Nature Just like the crackers you loved as a kid but without all the junk. These I had to pass on but I imagine they will taste much like Cheezits - yum! CINNAMON GRAHAMS by Skeeter Nut Free Squirrel-shaped nut-free snacks. Hubby thought these were delicious. It was the first thing he tried. | KETTLE SWEET PEANUTS by Love with Food Sweet, salty and nutty combo. These look delicious and it's the first time I have noticed a food from Love with Food. NUTTY RICE BITES WITH BLUEBERRIES by 180 Snacks Bite-sized crispy clusters. I haven't tried these yet but I've seen some similar products at CVS and have wondered if they would be any good, so I'm happy to have them here to try out. |
SALTY PEANUT SALT WATER TAFFY & SALTY CARAMEL APPLE SALT WATER TAFFY by Salty Road Classic fair flavors - and both of them were quite tasty! LOLLIPOPS by Yumearth Organic lollipops with flavors like Strawberry Smash and Tart Sour Apple MONTREAL STEAK SPICE SEASONING POTATO CHIPS by Covered Bridge These old-fashioned kettle-cooked gluten-free chips are seasoned with steak seasoning for a spicy crunch. They certainly were spicy too! I liked them ok but I've had chips with better flavor. They were something new to try for me. | PINEAPPLE & COCONUT FRUIT ICE by Smooze! Delicious vegan, dairy-free pop. I threw this in the freezer right away and enjoyed it today. These are my two favorite flavors together and it was really delicious. |
