Loot Crate is my favorite geek and gamer subscription box and I can't help but keep subscribing. Each month, they pick a theme and curate the best and most exclusive items around that theme. April's theme is Fantasy! I was really excited about this box because they advertised Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, etc. |
I actually don't have a set of playing cards so this is a welcome addition to the box. However, I have not seen The Princess Bride. People think I'm crazy and I did buy it for $5.00 at Target a while back but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I guess it's probably time. Albino Dragon has a LOT of custom playing card decks that you should all check out! They have a deal to get 2 decks for $20.00 right now too! |
Okay, this is confusing. The mini-mag says this tie was made by Spotted & Tied, but the label clearly says Black Tie Geek - who made the Space Invaders tie from January's Rewind crate. BTG's website isn't working right now so I can't even get a value on their others. I obviously don't wear ties, so this is lost on me, but my roommate loves it so this goes to him. While I understand some girls do wear ties, I wish they would take gender into consideration and give different options. |
This is an exclusive item that you can only get in Loot Crate! This flash drive holds 4GB and is the Stark family sigil! I love Game of Thrones so this is awesome. And I haven't been able to find any of my old flash drives from college, so this is great! Now I just need to make sure I don't lose this one too. I guess on the value because there's one available in the CustomUSB store, but it's made of zinc alloy instead of plastic and the smallest option is 8GB. |
I've adjusted the value a little bit because the only set of magnets I can find on the Dark Horse website include 3 other house sigils. I really like these though, because of course, I love Game of Thrones so anything is welcome to me! These have already made their way to my refrigerator and they look great! |
I can't find this luggage tag by itself but in a set with a Gryffindor crest tag, they're $20.00. The Bioworld website makes you log in just to view the products. I don't travel much but when I do, I'll definitely put this on my luggage! It has a spot on the back to write in your information, of course. |
This is another semi-exclusive item made with the help of Loot Crate Labs. This T-shirt features the new Dungeons & Dragons logo. I like the subtlety of the shirt design and the worn/faded print. This shirt is too big for me because Loot Crate t-shirts are insanely inconsistent with their sizing, so this also goes to the roommate! |
This month's Loot Crate was pretty good. I liked the choice of theme but only a few things will actually get used by me. The total value might be a little iffy because of so many exclusive items and guess values. The total I got was just under $75.00 so that's a great value either way! Loot Crate has taken to designing the inside of their boxes according to each month's theme. This is one thing I really like about this subscription box. Not many boxes put so much effort into their actual boxes so I think it's a nice added bonus. They're great to use as display cases for the items you get! This subscription box is all about collecting and displaying! |
