Hazel Lane is a box I've always wanted to try, but I could never justify paying THAT much. It's one of the most expensive boxes I've ever seen, but I think that made the appeal even stronger. I had to know what sort of items would be included in such a pricey box! Each month, they features a new city in the United States to curate items from. This month's box explores Austin, TX. Hazel Lane offers several different subscription options, which I will detail later - this is a review of the Deluxe subscription option. |
Monorail Studio, based in Austin, TX, creates original artwork that focuses on classic iconography, pop culture, clean modern design and their love of the sea. All prints consist of eco-friendly paper and inks and all are printed by hand in their studio. I like this print a lot - especially that it's yellow. I think it's a good change-up from the usual blue nautical artwork you see everywhere. The color may vary by box - I'm not sure, but I like the one I got. Now, I just have to find a nice frame for it and hang it up somewhere! |
Normally, I would say I'm too old for fake tattoos - but I actually kinda like some of these. Some of them will probably go unused, mainly because I wouldn't even wear jewelry like that, but we'll see how well they go on, maybe I'll use 'em all! The pictures they show make them look really cool, but I might not be able to pull them off as well as them. They'll go well with the gold cuticle tattoos I just got from Indie Gift Box as well! There's even a nice little lightning bolt logo tattoo included too! Plus, I really like the feathers, of course. The package says they'll last 4-6 days with regular showering. |
I've seen Stubb's BBQ sauces and spices and other products in a lot of other boxes throughout the months I've been reviewing and everyone seems to rave about them! I'm glad I finally get to try some! My roommate and I love barbeque so this will definitely get used up. The bottle says "when it came to BBQ, Stubb would say, 'it all starts with a good rub'" This is the original rub that Stubb crafted himself at his original Texas BBQ joint. This consists of sea salt, paprika and black pepper. It also contains all natural gluten free ingredients! Guess we'll be having some BBQ soon! |
I really like these napkins! They're so pretty, I don't even want to use them as napkins! I love the uniqueness of them and the color is really nice. We'll actually probably end up using this as washcloths around the kitchen - nice ones that definitely won't be cleaning up any bad spills, that is! You know what - knowing me, they'll just be put somewhere in the kitchen to look nice and I won't ever want to use them! |
SO I'm pretty sure they made a mistake and put two pairs of these earrings in my box! Every other review I've seen only shows one pair. I do really like them though, so I'm glad to have a spare unless I find someone to gift them to! This definitely jacks up the value of my box so I won't include both pairs in the total (because I'm like 97% sure it was an accident!) Totally appreciate it though! |
- Classic - $46.99 (shipping included)
- Deluxe - $69.99 (shipping included)
- Uber Deluxe - $114.99 (shipping included)
- G5 - $179.99 (shipping included)
This box has a total value of $89.99 - which is pretty great considering I'll use all the items and it was such a discounted box for me!
Next month's city destination is Charleston, SC! I'm very excited to see what will be included! I've got 2 more months left in my subscription and I know I'm going to be very sad when it ends. These boxes seems to luxurious because I couldn't possibly afford these otherwise! It's a nice 3 months of indulgence for me! I also really like destination boxes like this. I don't get a lot of chances to travel anywhere so being able to throw myself into another place just for a little while and being able to experience their smaller, more local companies and products, is really fun to me!
