Since I've been getting Eco Emi, this might be the first box that I wasn't that excited about. Not that it's bad. It just wasn't one that I related to in a big way. Mostly I guess because it's alot of cosmetics that I'm not really into. That's the way it goes sometimes though. As in life, some months are better than others!
The basic theme this month is pretty much an alleviation from winter's harsh weather. I'm all for that - but my idea of alleviation from harsh weather is to get the heck out of the Northeast! No box of cosmetics and feel good items will ever do that for me.
Tea Light Candles by Goodlight Natural Candles 6 pk - $2.49 Paraffin-free tea light candles are made from 100% palm wax and pure cotton wicks which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere without the harmful fumes. | All Natural Hummus by Wild Garden 1 pack (5 pieces) - $4.29 This healthy snack is made from chick peas and many flavorful spices making it both nutritious and delicious. I've gotten this same hummus in another sub box and it was okay. Once you've had hummus from The Barley House in Concord NH, no other hummus compares, in my mind. | Chocolate Vanilla Paste by Premier Organics 1 pouch - $1.35 Made from the highest regarded premium cacao, Ek-Chok Chocolate is boosted with herbs and a hint of hazelnuts to add flavor. Bask in the aroma of this delicacy while enjoying it on flat bread or toast. I've never tried chocolate paste before. This should be interesting. |
Organic Hairspray by Aubrey Organics 5 oz - $9.95. This is a full size product. This organic hairpsray is infused with quinoa proteins that add body as well as smooths hair fibers to eliminate frizzing. | Eyelash Conditioner by Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Full Size Tube - $10.00 This great product is made with vitamins, herbs, and extract that will help feed and protect your lashes. Gently use this lash conditioner at night after washing off your mascara. Leave on for 20 minutes, or throughout the night. | Lavish Face Mask by Blissoma 2 oz - $33.99 Great for dry and stressed skin. Lavish mask contains a combination of anti-reactive herbs, restorative oils, and eupuacu butter that helps rebuild skin from deep within. Use once or twice a week to remove fine lines. |
Earth friendly, cruelty free and a winter mint fragrance. It has anti-aging properties that are gentle enough to use on other areas of the face, making it great for winter sports and traveling.
I often use lip balm on hang nails and other dried skin areas. I never thought it would be not gentle enough for other areas? I'm not real partial to mint flavored things but to be honest, this lip balm is really soft and the mint sort of smells and tastes like wintergreen so it's really not bad.
I think I will try the face mask and the lip balm. I doubt I'll use that lash conditioner because I don't wear mascara and I don't need anything "feeding" my lashes. That just sounds kind of creepy. I may use the hairspray if I ever decide what to do with my hair. All in all it's not a bad box, but like I said, just not one of my favorites. I'm still wondering about that chocolate vanilla paste. LOL - weren't we told not to eat paste in school?
As always, you can check out Eco Emi at www.ecoemi.com. I've never seen a coupon code for them so as far as I konw the cheapest you can get it is for $15.00 a month. I really like this box and this company. I look forward to what the year has to bring.
