Citybox is a new subscription for me. I discovered it as I was searching for new ones, affordable ones. Citybox is based out of Indianapolis and all of the items that come in it are local to Indy. Occasionally you come across these local boxes that are geared towards the people who live in that city. They are designed to help them discover the gems that exist right in their own backyard and they didn't even know it. Even so, they are also fun for people who don't live there. You are still getting a taste of the city and you too can experience a small treat or product that you would otherwise not know about. So many businesses are online now that if you did discover something that you would like more of, chances are you could then go online and order it.
I am impressed with the items and think that if I lived there I'd be happy to be a subscriber to this box. Let me share with you what I received:
Liberation Roasting Company medium roasts their beans to ensure you are left with all the flavor and nuance of each variety. This is a 4 oz package of freshly roasted coffee.
This koozie is from the Sun King Brewery which is close to downtown Indianapolis. Fridays you can go there and fill a growler for just $5!
Inga, the owner, is passionate about making "melt-in-your-mouth" high quality popcorn treats. Popcorn is one of my very favorite snacks so this is very welcome in my household. There are many different flavors - this one is classic caramel. I ate all of the popcorn - it was good!
Sage's Simple Syrups deliver flavor compositions that take you to paradise. Each flavor is hand-crafted and ingredients are all natural. This flavor is roasted apple, which I've never heard of but am very anxious to try because it sounds like it would be delicious!
All chocolates are hand-made and hand-packed at The Best Chocolate in Town. This package is of chocolate covered espresso beans. Not my favorite thing to be chocolate covered so probably this will get saved for Kelli when she comes home for Christmas.
The Onyx Exchange has utilized the qualities of the onyx stone into their natural candles and body products.
Also included is a discount code to shop on their site. They have good selection of scents in their wine bottle candles which seem to be quite popular.
I like this box and thought it was well done. I'm interested to see what the next one will bring. The price is great for what you get. I guess we'll see what the future brings!
Please visit http://www.citybox.us/ to learn more about this subscription box which is local to Indianapolis, but available to anyone who is interested.
